Curatorial analysis

A dense, mineral luminosity, reminiscent of liquid amber or glare filtered through a thick vegetal canopy, asserts itself as the governing principle of the canvas. Rather than presenting a descriptive botanical rendering, the surface operates as an atmospheric immersion in which pictorial matter appears to have settled organically. Golden ochres and warm yellows dominate the visual field, modulated by umber shadows and greenish glazes rising from a dark, earthy base.

The space is organized through vertical tensions that evoke tree trunks, curtains of vines, or descending moisture, achieved not through traditional drawing but by dragging, pressing, and layering fluid acrylic glazes. Along the flanks and toward the upper right corner, the material imprints fractalize into dendritic, nearly capillary ramifications that recall the rough texture of tree bark, the veining of a fossilized leaf, or the microscopic efflorescence of the undergrowth. Toward the left, by contrast, the pigment unfolds in broad, curved sweeps marked by small circular impressions, like droplets or bubbles suspended in a viscous medium.

The chromatic weight settles across the lower band, anchoring the ninety-by-one-hundred-and-twenty-centimeter horizontal format in a deep, damp twilight. From that fertile ground, columns of light ascend without geometric rigidity, allowing the gaze to navigate between veils of clarity and darker recesses. The concept of the jungle is not illustrated here as a distant landscape, but rather experienced as an ecosystem in continuous dissolution and growth, where an inner luminescence struggles through the suffocating density of chlorophyll and damp soil. The paint itself assumes the physical role of sap and bark, suspending time within an intensely tactile pulse.
