Curatorial analysis

An excessive incandescence occupies the center of the plane, pushing the gaze toward the dark edges of the canvas, much like someone squinting against a sudden glare. In this large format measuring one meter thirty by one meter sixty, vegetation ceases to be a contemplative motif to become a sensory explosion. Everything vibrates in an accumulation of golden flecks, burning ochres, and oranges that appear to burn from within, barely anchored by deep shadows bordering the upper and lower margins.

The epoxy resin combined with acrylic lends the material an almost vitreous density, where pigments seem to float in superimposed strata rather than resting on a flat support. There are no contour lines or visible preliminary drawings; the structure holds together through an atomized texture of short dabs, rubs, and splatters generating an impenetrable vegetal mass. It is within this apparent tactile disorder that the rhythm reveals itself: a glowing diagonal crossing the lower-middle band and an ascent of suggested branches climbing toward dense foliage, filtering a zenithal light that refuses to dissolve.

Against the warm tide dominating the painting, small seepages of sky blue, pale turquoise, and muted violets act as optical vents, preventing the eye from being trapped in the thermal outburst. This tension between the chemical freshness of the blues and the combustion of the yellows provides the piece with its characteristic pulse. The scene does not describe a specific forest, but rather the dizzying instant when peak summer heat disfigures the surroundings, transforming nature into a purely luminous and feverish experience where the landscape spills over the viewer.
