Curatorial analysis

The two-meter-wide panoramic format immediately immerses the viewer in an atmosphere of almost volcanic saturation. Confronted with the apparent density of a forest ablaze in autumnal tones, the plastic material avoids describing trunks and branches in any canonical way, focusing instead on the luminous and thermal vibration emanating from within. The epoxy acrylic lends the surface a singular tactile density, where vitreous glazes, mottled textures, and impastos converse with slender vertical filaments that drip down the plane like threads of sap or sunlight filtering through at high speed.

At the core of the painting, a pool of turquoise and petrol blue breaks the encompassing tide of vermilions, ochres, and crimsons. This thermal clash between burning warm tones and deep cool ones generates an illusory depth that pulls the eye into the heart of the woodland, as though a moist, shaded abyss were opening up behind the glowing foliage. The structure is sustained by a continuous rhythmic tension: the verticality of the linear drips and rising slender stalks contrasts with the stability of the lower horizon, anchored by dark brown shadows and dense chromatic masses.

Toward the lower foreground, a whitish and golden band gleams like a haven of clarity resting upon the earth. It functions as walkable ground, a woodland clearing, or an aquatic reflection that welcomes the viewer, offering visual footing before plunging into the storm of color. The piece translates the act of venturing into the woods into an eminently sensory and psychological experience, where nature sheds its conventional figurative contours to reveal itself as an overflowing emotional state, built through layers of resin, luminous friction, and vital pulse.
