Curatorial analysis

The title operates as a mirage: although it announces an open sky, the gaze plunges abruptly into a nocturnal, submerged thicket, where blue functions not as a celestial void but as a dense, enveloping canopy. Across a panoramic two-meter expanse that demands the viewer's lateral movement, the surface opens like a botanical threshold seen from within, trapping the eye in a vegetative mass that seems to float as much in the depths of a virgin jungle as in the bed of an abyssal seabed.

The structure rests upon a rhythm of fine vertical tensions (filiform strokes evoking vines, suspended stems, or trickles of water) that hold the canvas's horizontal drift. In the lower third, a core of incandescent light breaks through dense shadows: bright yellows, toasted ochres, and vermilion sparks generate an igneous focal point that does not emanate from an external solar source, but from the very core of the matter itself. This luminosity climbs erratically toward the treetops, dissolving the contours of leaves into abstract, vibrant patches.

The use of epoxy acrylic gives the painting a decisive vitreous quality, creating transparent layers that suspend pigments across distinct optical depths. Emerald and moss greens acquire a moist, almost tactile presence that contrasts sharply with the muted coldness of the Prussian blue crowning the upper edges. Within this ignited vegetation lies a contained breathing, a nature that bypasses botanical anecdote to become a purely energetic landscape, where the night and the foliage burn in the same organic glow.
