Curatorial analysis

Two cobalt-blue tree trunks flank the panoramic framing, operating like the curtains of a vegetal proscenium that overflows the gaze. The scene unfolds across a horizontal expanse where traditional perspective is suspended; in its place, space is articulated through a rhythmic accumulation of sinuous trunks, sprawling roots, and foliage exploding in pure chromatic contrasts. Incandescent orange, electric magenta, and emerald green do not seek to depict a recognizable botanical ecosystem, but rather to establish the visual temperature of a psychic territory.

The graphic execution relies on a firm and visible contour line, defining each shape with almost heraldic precision. Within this linear structure, two approaches to the medium coexist: flat, saturated fields of acrylic alongside areas of meticulous stippling that impart volume and luminous vibration to the canopies. Across this continuous tapestry, a bestiary proliferates, awake yet resting. A cerulean frog, camouflaged owls, sloths, small felines, and tropical birds share the undergrowth with crimson mushrooms and minute blossoms, forming a web of intersecting gazes that turn the act of watching back onto the viewer.

Light does not respond to an external sun nor does it cast unifying shadows. Each trunk, creature, and mushroom appears to radiate its own phosphorescence, accentuated by the juxtaposition of complementary hues that energize the surface of the canvas. This luminous autonomy dissolves the landscape's customary hierarchy: the foreground snail possesses the same ontological weight as the intertwined branches at the center.

Beyond its visual exuberance, the image evokes the notion of the forest as an archetype of original sanctuary. It presents a nature that admits neither fracture nor violence, a self-sustaining eden where animal and plant life conspire in an agreement of absolute stillness, preserved within the suspended moment of reverie.
