Curatorial analysis

A contained burst of magenta and violet light dominates the center of this large vertical format, carving its way through a mass that evokes the shadowy density of a nocturnal forest. The monumental scale, exceeding two meters in height, transforms the painting into a threshold where nature is not captured photographically, but revealed through the accumulated energy within its layers.

In the upper half, the space is organized by a strict, almost geological vertical rhythm reminiscent of tightly aligned reeds, bamboo trunks, or the rhythmic weave of a mineral tapestry. Toward the heart of the canvas, this rigidity surrenders to a network of organic filaments—a tangle of drips and electrical lines in pale pink and lilac tones that pulse like a neural net or the ethereal branching of an inner bloom. The glow that gives the work its name emanates from this capillary mesh, projecting a phosphorescent luminosity that stands out against the surrounding darkness.

Toward the edges and the lower third, the matter acquires physical weight and tactile density. Jagged silhouettes, bordered by black runs and spatters of ochre and sienna, rise like calcined roots or figures in procession toward the light source. The clash between the warmth of these earthy accents and the coolness of the deep blues gives the margins the feel of rough, damp, mineral-crusted bark.

The painting deliberately oscillates between lyrical abstraction and symbolic landscape. Rather than offering a tranquil view of tropical foliage, the surface registers vegetable tensions: the struggle between the enclosure of night and the vital surge of color, locked in a choreography where light seems to flower straight from the timber itself.
