Curatorial analysis

A relentless vertical ascent commands the more than two meters of the canvas, where the pictorial matter enacts a transition from telluric darkness toward an atmosphere of pure clarity. At the base, dense and rooted in near-black tones, slender filaments emerge in tactile relief, silver tendrils that defy gravity and seek light with an unmistakable botanical impulse.

This upward architecture is articulated through a geometric cascade of small quadrangular modules. The tesserae, suspended amid green, pale blue, and yellowish glazes, gather into concentric vortices evoking both the airy heads of dandelions and floating constellations or expanding cellular colonies. The modular rigor of the squares coexists with the fluid curve of the continuous lines, establishing a precise counterpoint between constructive calculation and biological growth.

Light does not illuminate the scene from without; it surges from the core of the painting, dissolving the geometric foliage into a milky white that broadens the pictorial field. Amid this symphony of greens, pearlescent grays, and solar flickers, a series of crimson orbs caps the principal stalks. These fleshy, emphatic red dots seize the gaze with the potency of wild fruit or an alert signal, providing a visual center of gravity that anchors the airy lightness of the composition.

The canvas hovers between the microscopic and the monumental landscape. It can be read as an interior view of dense undergrowth opening toward the canopy, or as a poetic map of a bioluminescent event unfolding underwater or in the nocturnal air. In that fertile interval between botany and lyrical abstraction, the work celebrates the vital drive of rising toward the gleam.
