Curatorial analysis
A luminous effervescence defies the gloom from the very center of the large format. In this canvas of nearly two meters in height, a multitude of organic cells seems to ignite and project upward like a petrified pillar of fire or a winged silhouette dematerializing in mid-flight. The surface refuses stasis; what is immediately perceived is an incessant vibration caused by thousands of chromatic compartments that dialogue between mineral hardness and the fluidity of living tissue. The monumental scale amplifies this enveloping sensation, placing the viewer before a phenomenon that overflows the visual frame.
The internal order responds to a rigorous verticality where the chromatic weight gradually shifts. In the lower section, ultramarine blues and violets of deep nocturnal resonance anchor the figure through small, compact cells. As it ascends, the mass experiences a generous dilation toward a pulsating core dominated by pink, magenta, salmon, and turquoise accents, where the formal units expand and breathe with ease. Finally, the crest sharpens into ascending spires and elongated teardrops tinged with creamy yellow and ivory white, suggesting a transfiguration of incandescent light that pierces the slate gray ground. Minute crimson nodules punctuate the interstices throughout the entire journey, acting like suspended embers that sustain the rhythmic pulse of the ensemble.
With a pristine handling of acrylic, devoid of impasto and executed with millimetric precision, the facture connects to the discipline of mosaic and the luminosity of Gothic stained glass, where the dark web operates not as a mere passive background but as the dense substance that contains the emanation of heat. Ave Rosas sustains a dual suggestive nature: it can be read as the fragmented anatomy of a solar bird reborn from its own twilight, or as the microscopic cartography of a cellular blossom. The persistence of detail, repeated until building an overwhelming whole, turns the piece into a rite of visual ascension that holds the gaze in a state of suspended contemplation.
