Curatorial analysis

A swarm of floral cups ascends in fiery waves of yellows and vermilions, disputing the surface with a curtain of cool drippings that pours down from the upper edge. The painting establishes no recognizable horizon nor solid ground; instead, it offers a vertical immersion into botanical density, where barely insinuated stems dissolve into an atmosphere laden with violet humidity and carmine shadows.

The visual rhythm operates through accumulation and settling. In the lower register, petals gather with almost sculptural volume, modeled with sharp contours and tonal transitions shifting from gold to toasted amber. Toward the upper third, this vegetal compactness yields and disperses: the buds become sparser and solitary, unveiling the background striated by trickles of pale cyan and grey that evoke a downpour or a veil of condensation. This tension between the solar weight of the blossoming and the liquid lightness of the backdrop produces a continuous optical vibration, as though the canvas breathed in two opposing directions.

The pictorial matter reveals a deliberate contrast of procedures. The ground emerges from aqueous glazes and controlled drips that run down in filament-like strands, whereas each flower is built through dense impastos and autonomous touches that retain their tactile roundness. The canvas turns dawn into a purely chromatic event: a burst of warmth piercing through twilight and morning dew, where nature is not passively described, but unfolds before the viewer as suspended energy.
