Curatorial analysis

A panoramic format measuring over two meters in width imposes an immersive encounter with what appears to be a cross-section of wild grasses or undergrowth at dawn. The viewer does not gaze upon the landscape from a distance, but rather from the ground itself, ensnared among hundreds of stalks ascending like nervous filaments toward an absolute zenith of clarity.

The space is articulated through a constant tension between the crowding of the base and the dematerialization of the upper plane. Along the lower band, dark strokes intersect with graphic density, anchored by washes of deep blues, grays, and muted greens. As the lines climb, they taper and space out, allowing an incandescent white to sweep through the center of the canvas. Two denser masses at the upper lateral edges curve the field of view, functioning like a natural arbor that contains the overflow of light.

This linear architecture finds its counterpoint in a constellation of minute dots of color. Positioned with almost botanical precision at the tips of the filaments or suspended mid-air, these red, yellow, and pale blue specks break the severity of the black line work. They operate as spores, floral buds, or fleeting sparks that introduce a microscopic scale into a canvas of monumental proportions.

There is a musical rhythm within this display, akin to a score where each stem registers a distinct vibration in space. The light flooding the background does not describe a concrete sky, but rather a pure emanation that seems to dissolve matter from within. By positioning us at ground level, the canvas turns the diminutive and peripheral into an engulfing visual event, suspended between the rigor of calligraphic drafting and the vaporousness of a breathing atmosphere.
