Álvaro Gómez establishes a radical crop over the landscape: there is no visible horizon nor clear sky, but rather a botanical tide surging toward the viewer with the force of an ignited floral wall.

Toward the upper band, the compact floral pattern begins to disperse. The stems stretch into slender filaments until dissolving into a vertical curtain of dripping paint, where yellows, ochres, and glazes of sky blue descend like mineral rain. This deliberate dripping disrupts the botanical stability of the picture plane, producing constant tension between the natural gravity of liquid pigment and the upward surge of the forms.

The pictorial matter functions here with a double register.
