Curatorial analysis

A vertical silhouette, shaped in fused glass, traps the light as if sheltering an internal combustion. Contrary to the traditional diaphanous purity of crystal, the medium behaves here like a dense, geological stratum, laden with bubbles, mineral pigments, and thermal tensions. At the apex of this anthropomorphic stele, the head emerges tinted in a vibrant, almost solar amber yellow. Across it, an incisive black line fractures the face into two halves and outlines an enigmatic gaze, suspended between self-absorption and vigilance, marking the genesis of a figure that seems to condense an intimate state of revelation.

Towards the torso and base, the volume shifts into a deep, earthy crimson block that modulates light according to the angle of incidence. In this section, the most eloquent formal rupture takes place: a transparent horizontal incision outlines the silhouette of an arm and hand resting over the chest. This gesture does not add matter, but rather relies on absence to become visible; the subtraction of color acts as a clear window against the surrounding magma. The hand appears to hold or restrain that glowing mass, generating a visual conflict between the stillness of the negative space and the overflowing energy of the red.

In the depths of the body, the fusing process has trapped veils, shadows, and suspended sediments. Looking through the imperfect transparency, the eye encounters physiognomic echoes and floating stains, latent forms that never fully resolve but nevertheless suggest a multitude contained within a single entity. The body thus operates as an urn or a translucent vessel of memory. Supported with restraint on its black iron stand, the sculpture asserts itself in a fragile yet resolute threshold, where transparency does not reveal emptiness, but rather the incandescent density of the inner world.
