Light does not simply bounce off this sculpture: it enters it. The translucent red resin turns the torso into an incandescent mass that appears to hold its own thermal pulse, shifting from deep garnets in the thickest anatomical cores to fiery orange flickers along the edges where the material thins. This vitreous quality strips the nude of literal fleshiness, transmuting it into a compact concentration of arrested energy.

The body is structured through a pronounced helical torsion. The hip projects boldly to one side while the chest and the base of the neck turn in the opposite direction, reactivating the classical tension of the contrapposto through contemporary synthesis. Clean cross-sections at the limbs and neck do not function as accidental mutilations, but rather as deliberate cutting planes that enclose the volume and channel attention toward the sinuous axis of the torso. Specular highlights glide across the polished surface, defining hollows and curves with an almost liquid clarity.

The metallic pedestal, rectilinear and finished with a brushed texture, acts as a rigorous counterpoint that elevates the voluptuous form above. Faced with the industrial coldness of the geometric support, the torso takes on the organic warmth of an ignited gemstone. In this dialogue between the architectural opacity of the base and the deep transparency of the resin, the piece oscillates between a sensual evocation of the body and the totemic presence of a relic carved from quartz.
