Curatorial analysis

An orthogonal grid of neutral grays and restrained earths appears eager to impose order across the canvas, yet the center overflows into an organic boil. In Trama Cálida, the geometric structure functions as scaffolding that barely manages to contain a dense concentration of textural marks, glazes, and calligraphic incisions. The eye moves restlessly between the quietude of the perimeter planes and the central whirlpool, where cadmium orange and ochre flare with an almost geological intensity.

Toward the upper right quadrant, the matter suspends itself and breathes. A large white arc introduces a curvature that breaks the rigidity of the checkered background, releasing fine vertical lines that sustain ochre spheres akin to weightless pendulums. Beneath them, a tangle of swirling white strokes overlays the layers of color like an osseous weave or vegetable filigree. There is a coexistence here between architectural drafting precision and the freedom of dripping or scraping, revealing underlying strata that grant optical depth and specific weight to the canvas.

Chromatic contrast operates as the true dramatic engine. Ash, pearl, and lead grays act as an active silence that mutes the corners, allowing bursts of vermilion and earthy yellow to take on a volcanic presence. Chirinos meters these frictions through scale contrasts, juxtaposing expansive fields of flat color with small microstructures where the brushstroke fragments, stipples, and accumulates controlled accidents.

The surface suggests an intersection between cartographic mapping and biological metamorphosis, as if observing urban machinery suddenly colonized by an uncontrollable natural force. The work does not resolve this tension, but rather fixes it at its highest peak, leaving the viewer suspended before a pictorial organism that throbs in unstable equilibrium.
