Curatorial analysis

A playful, vertical impulse governs the canvas from the very first glance. Rather than a conventional tent, the space unfolds like a fantastical metropolis where slender towers, decorated spires, antenna-like shapes, and domed cupolas rise against an atmosphere of clear blue. These architectural silhouettes coexist with zoomorphic figures, such as the hieratic cat-like face stretching toward the upper left corner, evoking a festive union of fauna, machine, and city.

Its graphic framework operates through a logic akin to stained glass or avant-garde comic art. Bold, continuous black contours partition the pictorial plane, enclosing areas of pure, saturated color where vermilion, violet, cadmium yellow, and lime green vibrate through stark simultaneous contrast. Yet this geometric architecture dissolves across the lower register: there, a swirling tide of concentric circles, solar halos, and gestural spirals breaks the structural rigor, producing the kinetic sensation of fireworks or moving carnival lights.

The dynamic tension between crisp outlining and impasto-laden circular marks gives the surface a syncopated, musical rhythm. Traditional perspective is flattened in favor of an almost heraldic frontality, layering planes so that the horizon reads as a grand theatrical and mechanical procession. Lacking cast shadows or cautious gradients, light here emanates not from an external source, but from the raw chemical vibrancy of acrylic pigments colliding with one another.

The entire scene evokes a circus that has outgrown its physical boundaries, expanding into a cosmic pageant where the carnival and the urban landscape become one. It projects a radiant optimism free of melancholy, celebrating pure form, rhythm, and childlike wonder.
