Curatorial analysis

A quasi-botanical pulse divides and sustains this vast panoramic canvas, extending over two meters wide. Rising from the lower edge, a dense multitude of vertical filaments ascends like submerged vegetation, stalks of wild grass, or nerve fibers charged with energy. Each of these lines culminates in a small luminous node, a kind of spore or bud marking the threshold between the shadowed base and the expansive radiance occupying the upper two-thirds.

This upper canopy unfolds into an intricate cellular architecture, constructed from organic cavities that shift between pale pink, magenta, mauve, and glowing white. Black linework delineates each cell with a graphic rigor reminiscent of stained glass or microscopic cross-sections of living tissue, where light emanates not from an external source but from the depth of the canvas itself. The chromatic transition is striking: the abyss of deep blues, violets, and earthy touches in the lower realm yields its density to a vaulted sky breathing with an almost liquid clarity.

The wide horizontal format heightens the sense of immersion and visual wandering. The gaze finds no singular center of gravity, following instead an undulating rhythm of curving filaments that seem to sway under an invisible current before dissolving into the rose-toned matrix. A compelling tension emerges between the abstraction of pure forms and the evocation of a primordial landscape, situated halfway between a seabed, a phosphorescent twilight, and a cellular colony multiplying in silence. The surface thus becomes a vibrant organism where delicate linework holds a contained burst of light and color.
