Curatorial analysis

A dense tide of white flowers rises from the lower edge until it collides with a relentless curtain of gray drips. The two-meter-wide surface functions as a vegetal wall where traditional perspective is abolished, replaced by an almost suffocating accumulation of corollas that seem to germinate directly from the pictorial matter. There is no visible horizon or sky: the background is a vertical territory where liquid paint slid into streams reminiscent of a heavy downpour, a waterfall, or the thick fog descending over a valley.

In the lower plane, the flowers expand fully, open and fleshy, bounded by black lines that meander with the fluidity of Indian ink. Moving upward, the shapes diminish in size and lose definition, absorbed by the gray runoffs dripping from the top of the stretcher. In this contrast of directions (the upward thrust of the stems and the gravity of the glazes) lies the dynamic tension of the painting. The apparent white and silvery monochrome fractures at close range thanks to subtle leakages of ochre, pale pink, yellow, and moss green, tiny focal points of warmth that operate as chromatic heartbeats hidden within the floral mass.

The acrylic exploits here its dual capacity for aqueous transparency and dense opacity. The flowers are not specific botanical portraits; they function rather as a metaphor for organic fragility and endurance against the weight of water and time. There is a humid atmosphere, laden with silence and Eastern overtones, where the act of blooming is not a merely celebratory event, but a tenacious affirmation amidst a perpetual rainfall.
