Curatorial analysis

A geological and conceptual rift divides the space into two irreconcilable realities. To the right, stripped of artifice, a nude woman holds a golden fruit before the serenity of an open hill; to the left descends a variegated cortege of figures that synthesize the major ideological, media, and theological fictions of modern history.

The procession marches over a cracked crust, laden with rubble and crushed cans that foreshadow an abyss. This array of characters operates as a catalog of powers that gathers the Michelangelesque deity, the demonic figure dominating the storm above, the advertising Santa Claus, the dictator, the contemporary statesman, and the warlike archetypes of comics and action cinema. The volumetric treatment, rooted in academic rigor regarding drawing and the polished modeling of flesh tones, lends each entity an almost sculptural weight, establishing a theatricality where sacred myth shamelessly coexists with mass consumption and organized violence.

The chromatic clash reinforces this narrative dichotomy. The burnt ochres, shrill reds, and dense smokes of the sinister half dissolve abruptly upon touching the sky blue and luminous green of the meadow. The female figure, her back turned to the tumult and absorbed in the fruit cupped between her hands, does not seem to flee but rather disregard the crushing burden of these dogmatic constructions. In that restrained gesture, where the human body regains its natural scale before the unburdened landscape, the canvas poses a suspended pause: the awakening of individual discernment against the roar of collective narratives threatening to collapse the very ground beneath their feet.
