Curatorial analysis

A fiery glow sustains the entire architecture of the painting: a concentric explosion of vermilions and yellows acting simultaneously as a sun and a primordial aura. From this luminous core expands the canopy of a colossal tree that does not merely shelter species, but articulates a self-contained cosmos. The structure relies on rigorous frontality, bifurcated by the twisted rhythm of a trunk whose sinuous roots anchor the ground and grip the lower edge of the canvas.

The pictorial execution is defined by the patient addition of pigment. Through vibrant stippling and precise outlines, each element retains an almost heraldic sharpness. The branches support a meticulous zoological inventory where sloths, owls, monkeys, squirrels, and tropical birds coexist, while the base of the trunk harbors a coral snake, amphibians, cacti, and fungi. Toward the lower right corner, terrestrial soil yields to a marine pool inhabited by fish and an octopus, establishing an organic continuity between the aquatic deep and the celestial dome.

Along the margins, solid clouds of sculptural volume float against a nocturnal firmament punctuated by twinkling constellations and the ringed silhouette of Saturn. This planetary presence dissolves any strictly botanical or landscape interpretation. The painting articulates a creation myth where the microscopic scale of the forest undergrowth merges with astronomical vastness.

Beyond a simple ecological depiction, the canvas’s pictorial density activates an almost hypnotic experience. The saturation of motifs and chromatic vibration transform the surface into a living tapestry, where every creature holds an irreplaceable place within an exuberant, rhythmic, and sacred totality.
