Curatorial analysis

A metallic ribbon seems to have broken free from all physical constraints to carve a suspended gesture in the air. The sculpture is structured through a continuous torsion that defies the rigidity of its raw material, unfolding a helical movement that surges vertically on one end and folds upon itself at the other, eventually tapering off into an almost liquid freefall toward the white marble pedestal.

The contrast of surfaces dictates the perceptive experience. While one face presents a mirror-polished finish capable of warping, fragmenting, and absorbing the chroma of its immediate surroundings, the reverse responds with an earthy, dark, and subtly textured patina. This duality between the reflective and the opaque does not merely bestow volume and visible thickness upon the metal sheet; it intensifies the sensation of perpetual mutation. Light does not strike statically: it skims across faceted crests, bounces sharply off areas of maximum curvature, and settles quietly into shadowy interior hollows.

In its resting position atop the mineral block, the piece generates a conspicuous gravitational tension. The contact point is remarkably minimal relative to the scale and horizontal span of the structure, confronting the viewer with the paradox of a heavy body floating with the cadence of windblown fabric or a contained burst of flame.

The title finds its rationale in this unstable, intermediate state embodied by the form. One does not witness an arrival point or a defined origin, but rather the precise capture of a crossing: dense matter shedding its gravity, an ongoing metamorphosis between industrial solidity and the organic plasticity of that which flows.
