Curatorial analysis

A swarm of textured beads builds up the tree canopies, transforming the vegetation into a tactile mosaic of pure optical vibration. Each arboreal mass claims its own chromatic chord: clusters of solar yellow, flashes of fiery orange, pastel pinks, muted lilacs, and deep carmines. This stippled, dense, and impasto application gives the surface an almost sculptural thickness that immediately contrasts with the flat, synthetic fluidity of the color fields upon which it rests.

The topography does not seek to imitate physical geography, but rather to structure a vertical rhythm where the hillsides function as planes of pure color. The square format of 120 by 120 cm accentuates this tension: apple and emerald green slopes collide against embankments of fiery red and a dark cleft, rendered in charcoal or slate tones, winding through the lower center like a shadowed riverbed or a terrestrial gorge. The trunks and branches, resolved in earthy strokes with sinuous contours, stitch together the various terrain bands and guide the gaze toward a swirling sky of blues and violets, charged with atmospheric energy.

The heat of the season is not translated here into withered aridity, but into a botanical euphoria that dispenses with naturalism to become a sensory symbol. Light does not strike from a uniform external source; it emanates from the simultaneous contrast between saturated planes and the beaded texture of the foliage. Within this landscape pulses an uninhibited celebration of the tropics, where nature relinquishes botanical fidelity to assert itself as an architecture of rhythms, spots, and contrasts that capture the dazzling fullness of a summer afternoon.
