Curatorial analysis

A torrent of vermilion opens the lower portion of the canvas before dissolving into a branching fork of pale pink paths climbing green knolls. The land does not submit to traditional perspective; instead, it folds vertically, turning topography into a map of visual decisions where the route is never linear. This network of trails, almost organic, expands like a circulatory system connecting each elevation and holding the gaze in a state of continuous wandering.

Across this undulating geography rest trees with vibrant crowns whose dense, mottled impasto evokes a perpetual blooming. Yellows, magentas, purples, and oranges contrast sharply with the emerald and turquoise greens of the ground, establishing a syncopated rhythm that defies the quietude of rural scenery. Behind this vegetative vitality rises a dark mountain range, painted in deep blues and nearly impenetrable blacks, acting as a monumental barrier against the chromatic boiling of the foreground. Its rolling silhouette halts the visual retreat and separates the earth from an incandescent sky, where the pictorial matter has been swirled in layers of luminous yellows and fiery ochres.

The painted surface reveals a tactile, uninhibited application, where acrylic relief models both the atmospheric vibration and the roughness of the vegetation. The light does not originate from a measurable external source: it emanates from the collision between pure pigments, igniting the horizon with the energy of an imagined dusk or dawn. Faced with the crossroads suggested by the title, the painting shuns uncertainty, transforming choice into a sensory celebration. Journeying through these hills seeks no definite geographical destination, but rather the contemplation of a mythical territory where nature is reinvented through absolute color.
