Curatorial analysis

A mass of angular architecture climbs violently toward a blazing sky, transforming the city skyline into a dizzying organism. The city is neither observed from a distance nor anchored to a recognizable ground line; the viewpoint is situated in a lower abyss from which towers, prisms, and stepped pyramids surge upward, competing for space within a polyhedral perspective that defies gravity.

The buildings are articulated through thick, dark outlines that compartmentalize the surface into pure chromatic facets, reminiscent of stained-glass leading or architectural drafting pushed to paroxysm. Yet this geometric rigidity breaks under the vibration of stark contrasts: strident yellows collide with acidic greens, deep blues, and warm orange tones, producing a syncopated rhythm that pulses across the canvas without offering respite to the eye. Throughout various volumes, circular apertures, triangular spires, and segmented planes endow each structure with a distinct, almost anthropomorphic presence, as if the buildings were gazing at the viewer as they expand.

Across the upper tier, the sky abandons smooth planar application to resolve into a dense, impasto texture of magenta and violet tones, worked with short brushstrokes or a palette knife. This thick material crowns the composition with the dramatic weight of a saturated twilight, a cloudscape that seems to press down upon the urban canopy with physical force. Light, rather than obeying a coherent natural source, radiates from the internal combustion of the pigments themselves, suggesting a metropolis that is feverish, playful, and imposing all at once, where constructive momentum verges on hallucinatory fantasy.
