Curatorial analysis

An intricate network of steps fractures gravity to propose a multiple, vertiginous ascent. Deployed across an imposing vertical format, space is not organized from a fixed horizon, but through a proliferation of entrances, arches, and ramps that defy functional architecture. Staircases that turn on their own axes, suspended walkways, and conical towers force the eye to climb in a zigzag, wandering through a labyrinth where traditional perspective gives way to a delirious constructive fantasy.

The visual scaffolding is sustained by thick, emphatic black lines that compartmentalize the surface in the manner of stained glass. These outlines do not isolate the volumes; instead, they orchestrate a high-impact chromatic tension. Vermilion red operates as a vertebral artery, traversing the canvas in arches and beams of almost anatomical profile that energize the plane. In counterpoint, the cubic blocks in yellow and sienna on the upper-left quadrant dialogue with expansive areas of lavender, violet, and emerald green, building a vibrant rhythm cut against a cerulean blue sky.

Toward the lower center, a small fountain topped with splatters of tactile white breaks the flatness of the smooth areas, introducing a focal point of freshness and palpable texture. From this water basin, the eye can follow the upward thrust of the red structure or get lost among pointed arches, portholes, and a fragile ladder grazing the upper edge of the canvas. This city functions as an autonomous organism, where walls bend like tendons and apertures seem to breathe, transforming the idea of ascent into an endless journey where spatial play and graphic discipline coexist in perpetual simmering vitality.
