Curatorial analysis

The plant pulse is presented here not as a chaotic thicket, but as a meticulous and expansive ornamental order. Three monumental palm trees concentrate the vertical tension of the canvas, unfurling their crowns into great circular volutes that spiral upon themselves. These green masses do not feign botanical volume; they transform into calligraphic spirals densely constellated with concentric circles, crimson dots, and golden halos that emulate an organic firmament.

The composition is structured through a constant interplay between sinuous curves and broken lines. Stylized trunks, marked by rhythmic horizontal bands, emerge from an undulating base of mounds or terraces. Each rise in the foreground is resolved as an independent graphic ecosystem, displaying fields of golden loops, sky-blue swirls, and clusters of yellow and red rings reminiscent of both jewelry and marine topography. In the central interstice, between the two main trunks, a structure of vertical bars in white and cobalt blue introduces a rectilinear, almost architectural pause that anchors the dizzying motion of the surrounding curves.

Across a lavender-blue background patterned with soft spiral line work, a halo of yellow and cerulean striations radiates behind the foliage, dispensing with any naturalistic shadow or gradient. Light is entirely chromatic: it emanates from the proximity of saturated tones and the crispness with which the mixed media establishes opaque marks. The matter is distributed with ceremonial patience, where each dot and filigree acts as a unit of a visual mantra.

Nature in this piece becomes a graphic celebration, a sacred landscape where the jungle sheds its hostility to become a cosmic song. The tropics are transfigured into a tapestry of vital signs, where growth no longer answers to terrestrial gravity, but to the eternal vibration of the spiral.
