Curatorial analysis

The markedly panoramic format dictates a kinetic reading, as if the canvas functioned as a circus ring unrolled before the viewer. At the visual center of gravity, suspended upside down from a trapeze, a wide-eyed Siamese cat commands the heights with improbable elasticity, turning the dome into a whirlwind where gravity loses all weight. Toward the flanks, the action diversifies into counterbalanced tensions: to the left, a multitude of feline faces packs concentric tiers beneath a cluster of balloons, while a stretched-out tightrope walker crosses the void holding a tiny umbrella; to the right, floating acrobats and airborne silhouettes orbit an explosion of chromatic segments reminiscent of a circus tent ceiling or spotlights.

The space does not respond to atmospheric perspective but rather to a playful geometry, organized through curved stripes and radiant discs of pure hues that evoke the traditional big top and festive euphoria. Black outlines shape the figures with an almost graphic fluidity, lending defined edges to vibrant pigments applied with directness. The acrylic paint alternates between flat, radiant zones and denser, more gestural strokes on the coats of the animals, where yellows, ochres, and pinks introduce textural relief to this theatrical menagerie.

Beneath the festive pretext of the circus arena, the piece suggests an allegory of joyful abandon and shared observation. There is no separation here between stage and seating: the feline spectators, with gazes as attentive and complicit as those in flight, form an inseparable part of the act. At this crossroads of impossible balances and saucer-like eyes, the circus space becomes a territory of perpetual wonder, where acrobatic peril is entirely dissolved by humor and coloristic momentum.
