Curatorial analysis

A rigorous, slender column organizes space through a vertical sequence where relief and color operate as a constructive language. Standing just over one and a half meters high and barely twenty centimeters wide, the structure presents a markedly architectural scale, akin to a refined totem or a three-dimensional diagram suspended on the wall.

The visual journey moves through distinct chromatic blocks that succeed one another from top to bottom: an upper section in deep forest greens, segments in carmine red and vibrant turquoise, and a base descending through violets to reach orange and terracotta tones. Between these primary modules, narrow yellow bars serve as rhythmic pauses. Each chromatic station is not a flat plane, but rather a calculated layering of wooden rectangles and squares that cast subtle, stepped shadows as ambient light strikes their rectilinear edges.

This order of fixed strata is energized by thin rods with a silver metallic finish. These linear elements do not align with the central axes of the blocks; they appear shifted toward the sides, extending from one form to rest upon the next. They act as visual conductors that bridge the gaps between color masses, compelling the eye to connect tiers that would otherwise remain isolated.

The pristine finish of the lacquered wood eliminates any trace of manual gesture, prioritizing precision of cut and chromatic solidity. By eschewing figurative reference, the ensemble anchors its tension in the dialogue between visual weight, gravity, and weightlessness. The apparent mass of the upper volumes remains suspended in air, while the metallic rods introduce an almost musical cadence, as though each segment corresponded to a note or a measure held in space.
