Curatorial analysis

A rigorous mandala organizes the space through concentric circles and quadrants that converse with the archetypal notion of the center and the cardinal points. At the core, suspended upon a crimson sphere radiating light outward from its shadowed edges, a golden figure assumes a posture of inward contemplation, hands joined before the face. The body, synthesized into smooth volumes and sinuous lines reminiscent of organic carvings or votive statuary, sheds individualized facial traits to become a pure emblem of introspection.

Surrounding this incandescent heart, the main disk divides into four sectors alternating fields of earthy brown and deep black. Each section is filled with a dense linear web, a meticulous weave of spirals, floral motifs, and labyrinthine calligraphies traced with patient precision that contrasts with the sleek smoothness of the anatomies. Over these quadrants gravitate four bodies in postures of supplication, torsion, and fetal retreat. Arranged in a cross, they establish a rotational rhythm guiding the eye along a perpetual circuit, where the heaviness of flesh dissolves into the lightness of the symbol.

The chromatic transition toward the outer square heightens the tension between the static and the dynamic. A halo of yellowish glow contains the central wheel before surrendering to the saturated red of the corners, while a black perimeter frame seals the canvas. Within that final border dwell schematic fish, grids, and primitive spirals, glyphs that tether bodily discipline to a mythological or ancestral memory of fluvial and telluric nature. The mixed media blends subtle gradations with the vibrant texture of incised drawing, offering a visual experience oscillating between the rigor of a sacred diagram and the tactile warmth of skin.
