Curatorial analysis

A blinding void governs the center of this large panoramic format: a horizontal expanse of pale blues that seems to open like a clearing in the forest or a skylight inside a submerged cave. The surface does not resolve into a continuous gradient, but through rigorous tessellation. Hundreds of polyhedral fragments, resembling shards of ice, beveled glass, or organic cells, assemble together through fine, light-toned joints that maintain a crystalline calm at the canvas's core.

Toward the edges, this stillness compresses and mutates into an almost electric vibration. The work expands in concentric layers that dialogue through strict contrast: the pale blue clarity gives way to a border of botanical greens, sharp as blades or sea grass, which immediately dissolves into a dense belt of purples, lilacs, and violets. In this intermediate stratum, tiny dots of pure pigment emerge (reds, oranges, and yellows) functioning like bioluminescent spores or ignited coral, disrupting the cellular rhythm with sharp notes of heat.

The perimeter boundary darkens the vision with night blues and black shadows that compress the space, reinforcing the sensation of looking through a submerged portal or peering into a basin where light does not enter from outside, but radiates from the very bottom of the water. The extreme horizontality of the stretcher amplifies the displacement of the viewer's gaze, demanding an exploration of the canvas akin to scanning an underwater horizon. The surface proposes a dual visual play where water assumes the role of sky and drifting particles evoke abyssal constellations, suspended in a meticulous architecture where every single fragment retains its structural weight within the whole.
