Curatorial analysis

A continuous surge of dense filaments crosses the canvas from edge to edge, articulating a surface where the paint seems to have frozen mid-flow. The strictly horizontal cadence organizes the gaze into an uninterrupted optical sweep, in which ribbons of viscous acrylic advance, fold back, and layer over one another without entirely dissolving together. Each strip retains the crisp sharpness of its contours, behaving like suspended geological strata or the tiny ripples raised by wind across an agitated body of water.

Plastic tension stems from the pulse between warm and cool tonalities. Bands of antique gold, ochre, and mustard co-exist with turquoise filaments, cobalt hues, and near-nocturnal violet shadows, while strokes of pure white break through with the force of sea foam to disrupt the density of the dark underlayers. In the lower section, the cords of matter loosen and widen into broader meanders; toward the top, by contrast, the weave compresses into thinner, tightly packed threads, producing a subtle sense of spatial recession and depth without relying on traditional geometric perspective.

The relief of the acrylic, laid down in bodily and sinuous passages, preserves a tactile quality that proves decisive under frontal light. Highlights bouncing off the golden pigments and the rounded crests of each stroke cast micro-shadows into adjacent troughs, sparking constant vibration as the viewer shifts position. This perpetual oscillation between the rigorous flatness of the square format and the physical thickness of the medium turns the surface into a field of pure visual resonance, where abstraction assumes the fluid cadence of aquatic reflections or mineral crystallization without ever yielding to figurative mimesis.
