Curatorial analysis

A raised white thread descends from the upper band, tracing a hesitant curve before coiling into a tangled knot against a dark background. This textile filament does not merely disrupt the two-dimensionality of the picture plane; it functions as an active seam stitching disparate fragments together. The surface operates like a dismembered notebook reassembled, where the visible weave of raw canvas, hand-torn paper edges, and washes in cream, sand, and ochre stain the ground with the subtlety of ancient moisture.

The visual structure contends between the sheer weight of matter and the lightness of drawing. On the left, a charcoal arch encloses a small architectural dome, an earthly anchoring point from which an ethereal silhouette seems to evaporate. Faint, almost secret graphite calligraphies emanate from it: inscriptions such as "alma libre", "saltar", and "tejer" that guide the eye upward. This linear fragility contrasts sharply with the density of the margins, dominated by deep black masses, terracotta rectangles, and a strip of paper banded in gold and rust that anchors the left edge with tectonic firmness.

To the right, a black rectangle serves as an opaque window shielding a porous white figure, resembling a cocoon, a bird, or an organic relic suspended in night. It is onto this plane that the white thread collapses into loops, completing a visual circuit linking written word, structural line, and material trace. The piece rejects any facile resolution: the process invoked by its title materializes through the physical evidence of sutures, layers that conceal as much as they disclose, and the coexistence between aerial flight and material confinement.
