Curatorial analysis

A sharp clash between flat fields of cadmium red and absolute black governs the surface, arresting the eye before allowing it to settle. Within that graphic, almost tectonic collision, a pictorial opening of atmospheric character emerges: a fiery sky of ochre clouds, smoke, and whitish glows that seems to burn behind a constructive scaffolding. This window is not a passive landscape, but a core of volcanic or cosmic energy hemmed in by torn-edged white beams and orthogonal angles striving to contain it.

The mixed media operates through the assemblage and layering of disparate natures. In the upper left corner, a cutout disc introduces a geological and tactile texture (halfway between an eroded planet and a mutating mineral sample) that destabilizes the purity of the plane. From a white bar descends a sinuous thread, a real and fragile line traversing the dark abyss until it anchors itself to a paper scrap suspended at the base. That filament acts like a precarious umbilical cord, introducing a physical tension linking the rigidity of the design to the lightness of the adhered object.

Toward the lower right corner, dissolved in the density of the black, extremely fine linear marks emerge: a spectral group of faintly rendered human silhouettes. Their diminutive scale confronts the viewer with a sense of vulnerability before the monumental weight of the surrounding chromatic masses. On the opposite side, an organic dark seep creeps across the red, evoking the porous leakage of living matter against an imposed structural order.

At this plastic crossroads, the title finds its course: boundaries do not seal off territories, acting instead as a threshold where the fragility of the thread and the human figures is measured against the vastness of forces that elude all geometric containment.
