Curatorial analysis

A two-and-a-half-meter-wide panoramic wall yields to the expansive proliferation of red. The lower half of the canvas sustains a dense, compact botanical tide, where hundreds of scarlet corollas overlap without traditional vanishing perspective, canceling out conventional depth in favor of pure retinal vibration. Each flower, synthesized into flat petals of an almost heraldic crimson and sharp charcoal-black centers, seems to vie for space in a saturation that spills past the edges of the stretcher.

Moving upward, this plant mass disperses and sheds physical weight: floral buds drift, thin out, and become ascending flecks against a dripping atmosphere. The background acts as a mineral curtain where paint trickles down in vertical washes of gray, earthy glazes, muted ochres, and chalky whites. This gravitational descent of liquid matter introduces a sharp vertical pull in the upper register, functioning both as a rainy sky and as a neutral backdrop that tempers the chromatic combustion below. There is a deliberate confrontation between the brisk, aleatory dripping above and the graphic precision used to shape the silhouettes in the foreground.

The eye navigates the landscape format not as someone beholding a distant horizon, but as an observer entering an overflowing fragment of living nature. By stripping the landscape of traditional ground, horizon, and sky, the scene transforms the vernal motif into a rhythm of plant resilience: a living mass climbing against the downward pull of grayish precipitation. The contrast between the cold neutrality of the background and the luminous voracity of the reds grants the surface a restrained drama, wherein botanical beauty is experienced as an irrepressible force claiming the entire breadth of the visible world.
