Curatorial analysis

A vertical format over two meters high imposes an almost architectural experience, where the gaze is compelled to travel between the upper penumbra and an incandescent core at the base. Geometric crystals, angular prisms, and shards of light seem to levitate within a suspended current. The lower register concentrates an irradiation of acidic greens and glaring yellows that function as a thermal spring, projecting polyhedral fragments whose interiors burn in vermilion and crimson reds. Each polygon is delineated with a vibrant contour that underscores its formal autonomy against the background.

Behind this cascade of crystals, the pictorial space is structured through fine vertical lines that trace the canvas like a curtain of optical rain or luminous sedimentation. Modulated across dark olive, forest green, and bluish shadows, these striations lend a rigorous directionality to the composition. The acrylic is applied with clean, veiled transitions, allowing the dense, dark atmosphere to serve as a sounding board for the contrasts. Tension arises from a gravitational paradox: it remains ambiguous whether the fragments fall attracted by the abyss or erupt upward, expelled by the incandescent emanation.

The title, Luxur lumini, points to an excess or splendor of luminosity that the painting resolves not through homogeneous clarity, but through fracture. It proposes a reflection on disintegrated energy, where solid matter breaks down into glittering particles floating in an enigmatic, vegetal void. As the flows narrow at the margins and open into a central cone, the canvas assumes the quality of contemporary stained glass or a rift in the crust of reality, delivering an immersive experience where geometric rigor coexists with the uncontrolled force of light.
