Curatorial analysis

A fragmented glare suspends the gaze at an uncertain threshold between rain and artificial night. In Fin del Turno, the surface does not delineate a recognizable city, but rather the luminous vibration of its receding activity. Vermilion reds, incandescent oranges, and strident yellows blaze across a midground that appears to buckle under the weight of a cobalt and petroleum blue atmosphere. At the upper and lower margins, dense bands of carbon black compress the pictorial space, forcing the light to concentrate into a horizontal band of intense optical friction.

Acrylic operates here as constructive mass rather than mere pigment. The medium accumulates through incisions, palette knife planes, and successive scrapings that reveal previous chromatic layers, laying bare a process of accumulation and wear. Toward the base of the square canvas, the warm hues shed geometric definition and bleed into vertical rivulets that evoke water streaming down a windshield or the tremulous reflection on wet asphalt. This chromatic gravity establishes a deliberate, heavy rhythm wherein the solidity of suggested architectures dissolves into pure liquidity.

The deliberate absence of human figures magnifies the resonance of a workday just ended. The title lends this controlled chaos an immediate experiential dimension: we do not witness the serene contemplation of a landscape, but rather the sensory vertigo of leaving behind the workshop, factory, or office to plunge into the urban elements. Within this intersection of incandescent warmth and engulfing darkness lies a shared pulse of relief and fatigue, transforming the environment into an intimate record of the daily transition between productive labor and the solitude of the journey home.
