Curatorial analysis

The eye enters without shortcuts into a dense and frantic understory, where the horizon has been canceled and the ground merges with the vegetative tangle. There is no safe distance here: diagonal branches, twisted vines, and slender trunks sever the framing into a tight mesh that traps the viewer within the thicket. Space is resolved in closely packed planes, layered not by traditional perspective, but by the intensity and clash with which light bursts through the foliage.

That light does not bathe the woods peacefully, but rather shakes it with clean strokes of vivid yellow and lime green. Against it, the shadows refute any neutral or passive darkness; they are resolved through cobalt blues, deep violets, and indigos that simmer at ground level and climb up the damp bark. The oil paint is applied with short, nervous, and fragmented brushstrokes, at times impastoed and at times swift, exposing the pulse behind each leaf and each broken twig. This material vibration turns the foliage into an unstable surface, where the air itself seems to gain physical weight.

The title accurately anticipates this physical agitation. The plant forms seem seized by an invisible force running through them entirely, whether a sudden gust of wind or a biological tremor pulsating beneath the bark. The dark trunks hemming in the lateral edges barely contain the overflow from the center, functioning as natural pillars of an enclosed stage where vegetation ceases to be a contemplative landscape and reveals itself as a living body, taut and in perpetual oscillation.
