Alma Fernández Tercero structures this intimate-scale work through a subtle tension between the softness of chiaroscuro and the rough physical presence of assembled materials. The woman's gaze, tilted slightly toward the upper left, projects a state of reverie or inner listening, while her elongated neck gracefully supports a cranial structure reimagined as an organic headdress.

The hair abandons its anatomical nature to become torn musical scores and fibrous tissue stained in ochre and rust tones. These fragments of staves, with their displaced bars and musical notations, function not as decorative graphic motifs, but as a direct extension of the figure's inner thought. Below the chin, a diaphanous textile lace replaces the torso, generating a cottony texture that dissolves physical weight, resting atop a lower border of paper patterned with Victorian florals.
