Curatorial analysis

The sky appears here not as an infinite, ungraspable vault, but fragmented under a strict architectural modulation. Four independent horizontal panels divide the viewer's gaze into successive strips, compelling one to reconstruct the atmospheric phenomenon from deliberate cuts. Each segment houses cloud formations that oscillate between the tactile density of cumulus and ethereal dissolution, contained or interrupted by sharp-edged rectangles of flat color. This coexistence between the formlessness of gaseous mass and orthogonal rigor generates a constant tension, where aerial space is tamed by a geometry that seems to function as a frame, a screen, or a chromatic bar code.

The vertical transit proposes a journey through variations of light and density that subverts the natural hierarchy of the horizon. In the upper strip, cobalt blue sculpts a majestic cloud against a lavender ground; in the intermediate ones, the landscape first dissolves into an almost ghostly pale yellow before igniting into an intensely warm, saturated yellow mass; finally, the base plunges into a dense nocturnal darkness of abyssal blues. The small peripheral bars (ivory, petrol blue, cadmium yellow) migrate from one canvas to another like recurring chords, establishing a rhythmic counterpoint that ties all four pieces into a closed system of proportions.

Under the title Cosmopolita, the pictorial matter reveals a dual condition: the glazes and subtle impastos that give body to the clouds dialogue with the industrial opacity of the flat acrylic. This juxtaposition hints at contemporary visual experience, wherein the natural landscape is no longer contemplated pristinely, but rather mediated by glass windows, digital screens, and urban structures that parcel out our access to the sublime. The gaze does not take in the sky in its wild continuity, but through the rationalized filter of the metropolis.
