Curatorial analysis

A solitary, dense cloud floats in the center of a placid sky, rendered with the patient softness of classical painterly tradition. Its cotton-like folds capture a warm light across the summit, while its underside is shaded with nuances of pearl gray and soft lavender. Everything in this upper section evokes weightlessness, leisurely drift, and an atmosphere opening into clean, unobstructed depth. However, that tranquility is interrupted in a frontal, categorical manner as soon as the gaze descends.

At the level of the theoretical horizon, three-dimensional space is canceled out by a rigorous sequence of horizontal bands. This linear structure introduces a graphic drive that halts the illusion of depth. Cobalt blues, pale blue bands, white lines, and deep blacks stack in an implacable metric rhythm. Within some of these bands, the hinted brushwork of a turbulent sea or oceanic currents tries to manifest, yet remains imprisoned within razor-sharp borders. Toward the base of the canvas, the strata darken into a deep midnight blue, where veiled shadows suggest an abyssal floor filtered through the censorship of the line.

The title, *Límites*, precisely names the core friction of the proposal. On one side lies that which is formless and mutable par excellence, a cloud that defies any geometry; on the other, a system of visual compression that acts like a musical staff or a barcode overlaid upon the landscape. Ethereal contemplation and rational containment thus coexist, confronting the nostalgia for the infinite with the structure that domesticates it. By denying continuity to the natural horizon, the gaze remains caught between lyrical elevation and the geometric certainty of the cut.
