Curatorial analysis

Five felines of pliable anatomy grasp each other's limbs atop a winding hill, suspended between the earth's gravity and a cerulean sky of absolute clarity. The reference to modernism's classic circle dance is undeniable, yet here it is translated into a playful, tropical key where the jaguar abandons its traditional ritual solemnity to surrender to pure, dizzying play.

The visual plane is divided into two contrasting masses: the solid blue of the upper atmosphere and the green undulation of the ground, parsed like a mosaic or cellular structure in lime and emerald tones. Over this flat, luminous setting, the elastic bodies, painted in a brilliant ochre-yellow dotted with garnet rosettes, act as an uninterrupted rhythmic chain. The thick, decisive black contour line defines the silhouettes without hesitation, lending them an almost graphic, animated quality that sharpens the expressiveness of their faces.

Crossed, round, and astonished gazes, combined with bared teeth locked in mischievous grins, bestow a singular comical vibration upon each figure. There is no ferocity in their jaws, but rather a festive momentum that dispels any predatory threat. The contact between their paws is tenuous yet continuous, resolving the circular motion through impossible extensions of limbs and torsos that stretch each form to the very edge of the canvas.

The painting discards volumetric shading entirely, relying instead on the crisp clash of complementary colors and the stylization of forms for its vitality. This dance does not conjure a sacred forest rite, but rather an open, uninhibited celebration of coexistence, where humor and innocence disarm the myth of the wild beast.
