The face, barely sketched in spectral paleness with closed eyes, describes no concrete anecdote but rather a boundary state suspended between mystical ecstasy, tragic release, and physical surrender. There is no recognizable ground or horizon; the female figure emerges or dissolves in a chromatic storm that cancels any attempt at static contour.

The power of the painting lies in its violent diagonal. A cascading descent of vermilion, crimson, and deep burgundy cuts across the right flank with the velocity of an open wound or a torn cloak. On the opposite side, an area of muted greens, grays, and earthy ochres cushions the impact, generating a thermal asymmetry where cool tones contain and simultaneously ignite the warm flare.
