Curatorial analysis

A body spinning until nearly dissolving into velocity governs the space of this canvas. The title, Oscilación, anticipates pendular or rotational movement, but what unfolds across the surface is an unleashed centrifugal force: a barely discernible figure suspended between anatomical presence and pure kinetic energy. The pale face and bluish hands reach out in a gesture that seems simultaneously surrender and restraint, while the rest of the physiognomy unravels into bursts of fiery pigment.

The visual rhythm is articulated through a violent diagonal ascending from the lower right toward the upper left corner. Sharp, dry, overlapping brushstrokes create a trail reminiscent of the visual blur of a dancer mid-pirouette, or the sudden flame bursting from internal combustion. In the upper half, hair or fabric refracts into a cascade of ochres, siennas, and vermilions that contrasts starkly with the spectral coolness of the sky-blue and grayish tones on the torso.

This chromatic tension intensifies through the handling of the background. On the right, an expanse of deep black and midnight blue swallows the light, functioning as a nocturnal wall against which the figure projects its luminous momentum. Toward the left and bottom of the plane, by contrast, the canvas breathes into fields of buttery yellow and off-white, allowing the mass of red and golden strokes to swirl unencumbered. There is no solid ground or horizon line; gravity has been replaced by rotational drive.

In this oscillation between the corporeal and the ethereal, the painting captures a moment of physical ecstasy. The figure does not seek to settle into a static pose, but rather to reveal the very vibration of displacement through the air, where color ceases to describe drapery and becomes sheer trajectory and vital impulse.
