Curatorial analysis

A golden procession of cattle moves through the dusk, ignited by an inner phosphorescence that defies the deep blue of the night sky. In this landscape, rural scale transmogrifies into a magical cosmogony where livestock answers not to the logic of traditional ranching, but to a silent, solemn ritual. Four colossal trees anchor the plane with a meticulous filigree of luminous branches and foliage, structuring a rhythmic space that guides the gaze from the density of the undergrowth to the conical peaks in the background.

The surface vibrates through a pointillist accumulation of chromatic touches that dissolve solid contours. Each trunk, each blade, and the curved flank of every bull seem built from tiny glimmers of ochre, apple green, and whitish specks. This granular texture produces a constant optical reverberation, making vegetal and animal matter breathe as a single organism. The ground, dense and blanketed with miniature undergrowth, fallen logs, and wild shoots, sustains a horizontal procession of single-file bulls, while toward the right the group gathers, breaking the linear cadence with frontal gazes and bodies that face the viewer with a hieratic presence.

The contrast between the impenetrable darkness of the upper horizon and the vegetal radiance of the canopies establishes an atmosphere suspended in myth. There is no identifiable external light source; the clarity emanates from the landscape itself, suggesting a living, almost animist nature where fertile soil and cattle concentrate all the vital energy of the land. The nearly obsessive repetition of rounded forms and stylized horns imbues the scene with a hypnotic quality, transforming rural memory into an archetypal vision where time remains perpetually suspended.
